Chandigarh Polytechnic College’s Team ‘TESSERACT’ won FUTURE AWARD (Adventure Class) of Rs 50,000/- & APPRECIATION AWARD (Trophy) in ESVC - Electric Solar Vehicle Championship, Asia’s Largest Solar Event at Shri VishnuEngineeringCollege for Women, Bhimavaram , Andhra Pradesh.
CPC was the only Polytechnic College team among more than 100 teams from various Universities, IITs, NITs & other Engineering Colleges, to participate at ESVC i.e. Electric Solar Vehicle Championship, Asia’s Largest Solar Event held from 27th March-2nd April at Bhimavaram ,Andhra Pradesh.The event was organized by Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers at Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women, Bhimavaram, A.P. It is recommended by Government of India Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
As quoted by Hon’ble Energy Minister of India (MNRE) “We are going to introduce electric vehicle in big way. We are going to make electric vehicles self-sufficient like UJALA. The idea is that by 2030, not a single petrol or diesel car should be sold in country”. ISIE-ESVC will play a big role to complete mission 2030, creating Environment, Skilled Engineer and Innovation.
Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC) is Asia’s largest Solar Event which started in year 2013. The basic objective is to raise awareness among future generation of engineers about renewable energy resources and push them for development in this sector, all of this while making it fun for them. Hence, they are required to build a Solar-Electric vehicle to compete among them.
A team of 8 students from Automobile Engineering & Mechanical Engineering Departments participated this year showcasing their talent and innovation. It is quite overwhelming and proud moment for the entire CPC to participate at such a renowned platform and win.
