Collaboration of Chandigarh Polytechnic College and Asian Paints
‘Another Feather of Pride and honor indeed’- MOU has been signed between Chandigarh Polytechnic College (CPC) and Asian Paints. Chandigarh Polytechnic College (CPC) and Asian Paints have collaborated to support and provide pre-placement training for enhancing the employability skills and employment to students of Mechanical Engineering.
Asian Paints was included in Forbes magazines – Asia’s fab 50 lists of companies in 2011, 2012 & 2013. It was ranked 13th among top paint companies in the world. It is awarded as” Sword of Honor “by British safety council for Paint plants in India.
In this exclusive collaboration, Mechanical Engineering students of CPC will benefit greatly via:
- As many as 50 students to be trained in every batch.
- Students will be groomed as per the module developed by APL.
- Certification upon successful completion of the course.
- Students with Certification will be given preference during placement process conducted by APL.
- Training for one week at APL plant.
- Successful completion of the course will lead to job placement at APL.
To remark the event, officials from Asian Paints visited CPC for an expert Session and interaction with students on 13th Feb’2018. Hon’ble Senior Executive Vice President, Chandigarh University, Mr. D.P. Singh glorified the event with his presence. The event was initiated with a welcome address by Principal CPC, Prof. (Dr.) Gurmeet Singh Swag. It was followed by exchange of MOUs between CPC and Asian Paints team. Mr. Sachin Deshpande, Manager HR, briefed the students about the course and shared the future aspects of the course. Hon’ble Senior Executive Vice President, Chandigarh University, Mr. D.P. Singh motivated the students to continue ‘the learning process’ and develop skills that will help them grow and achieve success. The expert session was given by the company officials where the students were given brief introduction on the syllabus of the course.
CPC is the first ever Polytechnic College to have the pride opportunity to have such a tie up.
