Girls outshining and bringing laurels at PTIS State Level Inter Polytechnic Youth Fest 2017-18

Chandigarh Polytechnic College competed with as many as 25 other Polytechnic Colleges of the region in 20th PTIS State Level Inter Polytechnic Youth Festival (GIRLS) held at GPCG Amritsar on 2nd -3rd November 2017 winning 1st POSITION in GIDDHA, 2nd POSITION in FOLK SONG and 3rd POSITION in CHOREOGRAPHY.

This is the 4th consecutive year that the Giddha team outstaged other Polytechnic Colleges, retaining the winning spirit this year also.

PTIS State Level Inter-Polytechnic Youth Festival is an annual congregation of polytechnic students. It aims at providing a platform to relish, nurture and harness their talent; dreams and aspirations at one end and on the other cling them to the roots of their motherland. In the same context, CPC participated in the Youth Fest girls 2017 in events: Rangoli, Giddha and Solo Dance on the first day and Folk Song, Choreography and Mono Acting on second day. Students showcased exemplary performances in singing, dancing and acting. They performed exuberantly.

The Chief Guest for first day was Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Sardar Gurjit Singh Aujla. The Chief Guest for second day was MLA, Sunil Dutti. Around 25 Polytechnic Colleges participated in the Fest which included Thapar Poly. College, Patiala, GNDP Ludhiana, GPC Amritsar, GPC Bathinda, CCET Chandigarh, GPC Amritsar, GPC Batala, GPC Behram, GPC Dinanagar, GPC Khoonimajra etc.

Our students gave thrilling performances and received standing ovation from judges and the audience. They were also appreciated by the Chief Guest and PTIS officials. Honorable Chancellor, Chandigarh University, S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, and Prof.(Dr.) Gurmeet Singh Swag, Principal CPC, congratulated the students & cultural team for their performances.
