“Entrepreneurship Awareness Program – An Industrial Motivational Campaign” organized by CPC
To instill in students interest for Entrepreneurship and acquaint them with the facilities available for budding entrepreneurs, Chandigarh polytechnic College in association with NSIC Rajpura organized a two-day workshop on “Entrepreneurship Awareness Program” on 26th- 27th February 2020. Program witnessed the presence of 150 students of Chandigarh Polytechnic College.
The workshop was organized to give students information about Micro scale and medium Enterprises, Different Government Schemes, Process of setting up new Enterprise, Tie-ups and collaboration and a special session on skill development.
The Guest of Honour for the workshop was Prof.(Dr.) B.S Sohi, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Chandigarh University. The formal address was given by Prof. (Dr.) Gurmeet Singh Swag. He welcomed the Chief Guest and all the renowned entrepreneurs for the event.
Mr. Kundal Lal, Assistant Director, MSME shared his views about MSME and why it is important.
Mr. Rajesh Jain, General Manager NSIC motivated the students with success stories of various entrepreneurs and he listed out the various barriers for entrepreneurship in India.He also shared different NSIC Schemes, PMEGP Schemes, Skill development courses, LBI, etc.
Mr. Parwinder Singh, President of Dynamic Entrepreneur Community, shared some real-life examples with the students and motivated them to achieve something extraordinary in life. He boosted the students to create job opportunities instead of looking for them.
Each session was concluded with the aim to motivate students to set up their own enterprise/ venture.
