Team ‘TESSERACT’ wins Future Award at ESVC2K19
Chandigarh Polytechnic College’s Team ‘TESSERACT’ won FUTURE AWARD (Adventure Class) of Rs 1,00,000/- & APPRECIATION AWARD (Trophy) in ESVC - Electric Solar Vehicle Championship, Asia’s Largest Solar Event at Chandigarh University, Gharuan.
CPC was the only Polytechnic College team among more than 50 teams from various Universities, IITs, NITs & other Engineering Colleges, to participate at ESVC i.e. Electric Solar Vehicle Championship, Asia’s Largest Solar Event held from 25th March-31st March at Chandigarh University. The event was organized by Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers. It is recommended by Government of India Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC) is Asia’s largest Solar Event which started in year 2013. The basic objective is to raise awareness among future generation of engineers about renewable energy resources and push them for development in this sector, all of this while making it fun for them. Hence, they are required to build a Solar-Electric vehicle to compete among them.
A team of 30 students from Automobile Engineering & Mechanical Engineering Departments participated this year showcasing their talent and innovation. From showing their vehicle’s durability in technical inspection, struggling and qualifying the off road test to showcasing their vehicle’s endurance in endurance test, our students excelled in every round.
