Industry Alliance

Collaboration between Colleges and industries is critical for skills development (education and training), the generation, acquisition, and adoption of knowledge (innovation and technology transfer), and the promotion of entrepreneurship (start-ups and spin-offs). CPC is the only Polytechnic College to have collaborations with renowned companies like Asian Paints, Hyundai, PEDA, HONDA, ISIE India and NSIC Rajpura.


Chandigarh Polytechnic College (CPC) and PEDA have collaborated to support and work on Research & Development Projects on Energy Conservation & Energy Efficiency in the state of Punjab. Punjab Energy Development Agency being a State Designated Agency for implementation of Energy Conservation Act - 2001 in the state of Punjab has been making efforts to promote renewable energy & energy efficiency. This collaboration is to make possible for students to work on research & innovative projects in the field of energy efficiency/ energy conservation in buildings, clean technologies a, energy efficient appliances in domestic, commercial and industrial sector.

Hyundai Professional Development Centre

This is a specialized program for Automobile Engineering students with Hyundai certification.HMIL has designed an additional curriculum for the students along with curriculum of PSBTE & IT.A high-tech training lab and classroom has been set up by HMIL, equipped with a training car, cut section models, engine, gearbox and e-learning modules. The company trained faculty will mentor and groom the students as per HMIL standards. The students will be sent for two weeks “Hands on Training” in HMIL dealerships during the final year. This program will support and provide pre-placement training for enhancing the employability skills and employment to the students of Automobile Engineering. The students will be provided with Hyundai Certification on successful completion of the Program. The students with Hyundai certification will lead to job opportunities at HMIL dealerships and can also avail preferred placements in other automobile industries.

Asian Paints

Chandigarh Polytechnic College (CPC) and Asian Paints have collaborated to support and provide pre-placement training for enhancing the employability skills and employment to students of Mechanical Engineering. Asian Paints was included in Forbes magazine – Asia's fab 50 lists of companies in 2011, 2012 & 2013. It has ranked 13th among top paint companies in the world. It is awarded as” Sword of Honor” by British safety council for Paint plants in India. In this exclusive collaboration, Mechanical Engineering students of CPC will benefit greatly. As many as 50 students will be trained in every batch. Students will be groomed as per the module developed by APL. The students will be certified upon successful completion of the course. These will be provided during placement process conducted by APL.


Chandigarh Polytechnic College in association with ISIE India, inaugurated Student Research Association Centre (ISIE-CPC-SRA). ISIE has 50 plus SRA centres all over the country. Chandigarh Polytechnic College is the first Polytechnic to establish SRA centre at their campus. A well-equipped lab is also set up for the students to work on projects and different innovations primarily based on Green energy. ISIE- Student Research Association (ISIE-SRA) is a great platform for students and faculties to come together for Research and Innovation. It aims to promote Research and Skill Based Education.

NSIC Rajpura

CPC is First in North India to have such tie-Up with NSIC (A Government of India Enterprise under Ministry of MSME) for entrepreneurship development program and support. NSIC organizes a regular workshop for the students in the college itself, for incorporating entrepreneur qualities in them.


Tech Mahindra Ltd., a leading IT recruiter has joined hands with Chandigarh Polytechnic College to import industry-ready skills in IT Infrastructure Management Services (IMS).Upon successful completion of the training the students get placement opportunities not only in Tech Mahindra but also other IMS companies.

Videocon Advanced Communication Lab

CPC in association with quadrant tele ventures limited (QTL) has setup an advanced communication lab for the students and faculty of electronics & communication engineering.


MOU with VE commercials vehicle limited for pre-placement training and job opportunities for Mechanical engineering students. Out of the first batch, 16 students are already successfully working with the company.
