Chandigarh Polytechnic College collaborated with Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL)

An endeavor to contribute towards Skill India initiative, Chandigarh Polytechnic College (CPC) and Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) have collaborated and "Hyundai Professional Development Center", first of its kind in India, has been established to support and provide pre-placement training for enhancing the employability skills and employment to students of Automobile Engineering.
The fully equipped professional development centre was inaugurated at CPC, Gharuan on 18th November, by Sr. Vice-president (sales and marketing) HMIL, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava , Chief guest of the day and Hon’ble Chancellor Chandigarh University, S. Satnam Singh Sandhu.
The event was enlightened with the presence respected Dr. R. S Bawa, Vice-Chancellor, Chandigarh University.  Mr. Himanshu Singhal,  AGM & Head  of the Training Department  and Mr. Anurag Kumar, AGM,  Field   Support  India and other delegates from Hyundai Motor India Limited, Prof.(Dr.) Gurmeet Singh Swag, Principal CPC, Cpt. Khushwant Singh, Admin Head CPC and other senior faculty members of CPC also graced the commencement ceremony of Hyundai Professional Development Center at CPC.
Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, CU, Dr. R. S. Bawa formally welcomed all the guests and was thankful to the Hyundai Motor India   Limited  (HMIL) for having a collaboration with CPC.
Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, while interacting with students, said, “Hyundai Motors has taken initiative in fulfilling its commitment and support by establishment of Hyundai  Professional   Development Centre  that will expose the students of  Automobile   Engineering  to the modern technologies thereby increasing the employment opportunities and enhancing their career prospects”. He further added that, Hyundai Professional Development Center at  CPC - Gharuan is first of its kind in India will have  Advanced  Automobile Engineering Training   Laboratory and classroom where Automobile Engineering students would be trained every year and offered employment opportunities upon successful completion of program across Hyundai Dealership chain in India.
Mr. Rakesh Srivastava and  Asstt. Vice President (Head- Customer Care Services), Mr. Punnaivanam formally presented the training material and car keys to authorities of CPC.
Hon’ble S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor, Chandigarh University addressed the audience and appreciated this collaboration. He motivated students to use this golden opportunity to strive for a better future.
Prof. (Dr.) Gurmeet Singh Swag, Principal CPC, was thankful to all dignitaries for their presence and congratulated CPC staff and students for such a big laurel.
