Students of Chandigarh Polytechnic college portrayed their technical skills and intelligent minds by performing exuberantly well at PTIS Tech Fest 2016-17. Rayat Polytechnic College, Ropar took the initiative of hosting the PTIS Tech Fest this year. Around 25 Polytechnic Colleges namely Thapar Polytechnic college, CCET Chandigarh, Mehr Chand Polytechnic College, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Polytechnic college, Government Polytechnic College, Bathinda, SRS Govt. Polytechnic College for girls, Ludhiana, Chandigarh Polytechnic College, Gharuan, Rayat Polytechnic College, Ropar and many more participated in the Fest. The main events of the Tech Fest were Paper Presentation and Project Display.

In Project Display, CPC students of Tool & Die, Ankit, Manvir and Harsimran Singh got 2nd prize for their model “Waste paper recycling machine”. Computer Engineering Students, Harsimran Kaur, Bhavkaran Singh, Upasana and Isha got 3rd prize for their project “WiFi Jammer”. Students of Automobile Engineering, Harmanpreet Singh, Jagraj and Janpreet got 3rd Prize for their project “Tread Mill Cycle”. In Paper presentation, Saurabh Singh student of ECE got 1st prize for his presentation on “Smart Helmet”. Satwinder Kaur of Civil Engineering Department got 2nd prize for her Presentation on “Translucent Concrete”. Pranav Sharma of Applied Department got 2nd prize for his Presentation on “Peek n' Eat”. Jaspreet Singh of Tool & Die got 2nd prize for his Presentation on “Nano Technology”.
